**** I haven't found condoms I like at any level (female here), but have mostly stuck to Trojan found in the grocery store. Any suggestions for condoms that don't chafe, have plenty of lube, and feel natural? **** I'm a fan of the Trojan Natural Feeling, they use a water-based lube. **** Er, Durex, Natural Feeling. **** Does condom usage make that much of a difference for a girl? I've never gone without and just can't imagine it feeling much different/better, other than maybe emotionally. **** Sounds like you're lucky enough not to have chemical sensitivities to latex or lube. **** I tend to go with non-lubricated condoms and then keep a bottle of lube handy. Better control over amount of lube as the situation varys, and no need to worry about the condom manufacturer lube choice and the contents therein. **** not enough lube = chafe nonoxynol 9 = possible UTI/yeast infections so, yes. it does make a difference. once you have enough of a good lube, however, it doesn't feel much different than having sex without a condom. (to me, anyway. perhaps other females will disagree) **** There are also non-latex condoms options. Durex Avanti, and it looks like Trojan Supra (never tried them) Then feel different, interact with lube differently, can also be used with oil based lube. Something to try. But I would recommend finding a lube that works well for you, and apply it to your pink parts before sex. Should let you control type/amount/location of the lube better, and hopefully allow the guy options on the condom, since I know they don't all feel the same to me. :-) (guy here) **** Original anon here. Yes, it makes a big difference to me in sensation (which is kind of funny, because my RFCE doesn't find it as big a deal as I do). I will take all suggestions into account. Thanks! **** condom suggestions...hmm..I used to get them from a clinic for free, so I've tried a fairly wide variety. I find irony in Trojan being the most well known brand, as I have never used a Trojan that I liked! I find studded or ribbed condoms to be particularly uncomfortamble (major chafing!)...Again irony in "ribbed for her pleasure"....I find both Lifestyles and Durex to be good brands. Durex has nice lubricated ones that have different fruity scents that are good. They also have one with a contoured head that I would recommend & another that I think is called "for her pleasure" that has a berry scent and some slight ribbing toward the outer rim that is pretty nice. I am adverse to nonoxynol-9 as it seems to numb the important areas and I feel slight irritation after it's use, so I avoid condoms with spermicide. I have found Trustex condoms to be thicker than other brands and therefore not as fun. I believe Durex and Lifestyles both have "sensitive" thinner versions that are good. To the best of my memory, I have never had any of these break, even the ultra thin ones. There's a "plum crazy" condom that is a neat purple color. I liked it by my male SO did not. Ok think that's all my suggestions on condoms from a female's point of view. **** N9 makes me pee like burning. **** I tend to go with the large end of normal-size condoms at condomexpress.com that are unlubed or mild water-based lubed and extra-thin. I've gone through a few hundred of these: http://www.condomsexpress.com/express/condoms/o21000.html as my preferred make for a few years now. I avoid Beyond7. I've tried and liked these: http://www.condomsexpress.com/express/condoms/i1223.html They came with a very high recommendation, but I haven't bought any myself yet. IIRC, they're less expensive generally as the house-brand at good vibrations. **** N9 is shown to have a correlation with higher incidence of HIV infection among females than non-N9 users. (Correlation is not causation!) **** Re: Inspiral: They're ok, but I didn't find them to be spectacular. I think that my favorite thus far is the Durex Maximum http://www.condomsexpress.com/express/condoms/d10085.html **** Another vote for Durex here also coupled with a negative vote on Trojan. **** I don't seem to bothered by Trojan (female here), but the one time I used the Kimono brand, I itched like crazy! Though I am starting to wonder if the mild itchiny I've felt lately is the condoms.
