APRS System
The APRS System consists of three things:
- The GPS receiver (grey box with two wires coming towards the camera and
the seral port on the other side)
- The Terminal Node Controler, or TNC, which is basically, a radio modem
(black box underneath the GPS receiver)
- The radio (even larger black box underneath the TNC that has a heat
sink towards the camera).
They all work together to broadcast my location approximately every 1 1/2
minutes (assuming I have it turned on; if I want to surprise someone, it's
best if I turn it off).
